Ken Regensburg brings over 25 years of experience in M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions to his role as managing partner of Sharp Action LLC. He was most recently a partner at a leading international law firm before forming Sharp Action.
Ken has provided transactional, governance, securities and commercial advice to a broad range of global companies, both private and public, and investors across the private equity industry, including leveraged buyout funds, growth equity funds, venture capital funds and family offices. He has deep experience working with and solving complex problems for businesses across industries, including many highly regulated companies. He has worked extensively with a wide range of technology, media and entertainment companies.
Ken has helped dozens of financial sponsors develop strategies and achieve their business objectives across the spectrum of their own structuring and investing activities—from fund formation, acquisitions, and fund liquidity strategies to structuring their funds’ investments across numerous asset classes and financing those investments at all levels of the capital structure.
He also has advised portfolio companies of these sponsors regarding optimal financing solutions, management equity structures and other employee issues, corporate governance and dispute resolution. In addition, Ken has advised on a wide range of exit strategies, including mergers, sales of stock or assets, IPOs, spin-offs, and dividend recapitalizations.
Ken is passionate about sports. He has spent substantial time studying the many facets of the gaming industry and the evolving multi-state rollout of legalized sports betting. Ken graduated Stanford University with honors and Cornell Law School with a business law concentration.
